Governance

The AGI Society is a formal US non-profit organization, registered in the State of Delaware.

The initial Board of Directors of the AGI Society, formed in September 2011 shortly after formation of the Society, is as follows:

• Ben Goertzel (Chair; and Chair of Steering Committee of AGI Conference Series)
• Pei Wang (Vice Chair; and Chief Editor of Journal of AGI)
• Joscha Bach (Secretary)
• Stephen Reed (Treasurer)
• Itamar Arel
• Marcus Hutter
• Moshe Looks
• Kristinn Thorisson

According to the Constitution, the membership (Senior Members) will have the first election for (new and/or repeat) Board members in 2014.
